The migration planning is common for such technology migration programs; however they often miss automation technology migration and talk only about the project implementation. Most common problem with the Automation tool usage is that in case the AUT is ported onto a new technology, the automation scripts written for a specific automation test tool become partially or fully unusable. This requires a very proactive vision by the concerned teams in order to create a framework of frameworks which can drive the usage of the regression suites written for the two automation tools in a collaborative manner. This vision can only appear if the project management has very clear understanding of the existing and the new tools. This is a very ‘rare reality’.
